WHEN CHAMPIONS PERFORM, THE WORLD TALKS!

16th May 2019

Dear Friends,

Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities to mainstream is an important agenda for us at the Foundation. We feel proud to share that Gokul Srinivas Subramanian, our ARISE+ student bagged a Gold medal at the Special Olympics World Games, 2019 in Abu Dhabi.

Gokul was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 5 years. His parents being unable to pay the school fees shifted him to one of our ARISE+ school (All Round Improvement in School Education for Children with Disabilities) focused on supporting Children with Disabilities.

Gokul

In order to channelize his energy and strength, they enrolled him for swimming lessons despite their low income. The school identified his potential and the Foundation supported him with a proper diet plan, nutrition program and training that was required to prepare him for the Special Olympics. Winning a gold medal in 1500m, and second position in 800m freestyle swimming are his phenomenal achievements for the country, the school, for us and his family.

So, when Gokul didn’t have a way, we extended our hand to help him make one for himself! We are extremely proud of Gokul and congratulate him on his achievements We at the Foundation, will keep supporting Persons with Disabilities who have unrelenting commitment to move the mountains and do something big in life. We hope this #RiseForGood story inspired you too!

Warm Regards,
Tech Mahindra Foundation
