FROM PATHWAY TO HIGHWAY

25th April 2019

Dear Friends,

We believe that the philosophy of Individual Social Responsibility is fulfilled when you help the beneficiaries RISE. Today, I am sharing the story of Kajol which is quite motivational and teaches us to ‘NEVER GIVE UP, NO MATTER WHAT’.

Kajol lost her father at the age of six. Her family had no choice but to beg on the streets. In a tragic accident, when hit by a train, Kajol lost her left leg at a very young age. A social worker supported her in early education and helped her get an artificial leg along with a girl’s hostel facility to stay.

Since then, Kajol made a promise to herself to move away from begging and find a way to respectable living. The Foundation along with Baliga Trust helped her pursue her studies further and join the Baliga Trust SMART Centre in Delhi. She developed communication skills, soft skills, computer skills and improved proficiency in English at the Centre to find herself a DREAM JOB!

After she completed the Customer Relationship Sales course from the SMART Centre, ICCS Pvt Ltd hired her. She can now bear her own expenses and is working towards changing the course of her family.

Please join us in wishing Kajol and her family the very best in all their future endeavours! Watch this space for more such inspiring #RiseForGood stories.

Warm Regards,
Tech Mahindra Foundation
