SMART ACADEMY INAUGURATION

28th May 2016

Dear Friends,

May 14 was a proud moment for everyone at Tech Mahindra as the SMART Academy for Healthcare was inaugurated in the presence of Vineet Nayyar, Vice Chairman; Loveleen Kacker, CEO, Mrs. Anita Gurnani, Mrs. Reva Nayyar, Manoj Chugh, Jagdish Mitra and other dignitaries.

The tall green trees and calm surroundings of the Gandhi Ashram provided an ideal backdrop for the SMART Academy on Healthcare. A spanking new ambulance, an open gazebo classroom, a fully equipped basic laboratory and international standard classrooms with overhead projectors greeted everyone.

The Academy marks a significant milestone in the journey of our employability program. It sets standards of skill training so as to create highly skilled Allied Health professionals. The Academy will create employment opportunities for young men and women from low-income families in hospitals and nursing centres across the country. In full capacity, the Academy will train 2000 young boys and girls.

For me personally, this is a proud moment and a very imp milestone because there is a huge gap between demand and supply in the field of Allied Healthcare not just in the city of Delhi but the entire country, and the Academy is a small step in the direction of meeting this demand.

We invite each and every one of you to visit the SMART Academy at Kingsway Camp, New Delhi.

Warm Regards,
Tech Mahindra Foundation
