WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2019

7th June 2019

Dear Friends,

All of us make this environment. Today is World Environment Day and we thought we should together identify ways to preserve it.

According to the World Health Organisation, every year around 7 million premature deaths are attributable to air pollution—a staggering 800 people every hour or 13 every minute. This year’s United Nations theme is #BeatAirPollution.

At the Foundation, our little ways of contribution towards reducing air pollution is by making a conscious effort to provide lush green campuses and centres to students; using bio-degradable compost pits as dumping methods and plantation of trees as part of our volunteering agenda.

Our ability to breathe clean air depends upon the lifestyle choices that we make. On this World Environment Day, let’s pledge to create a greener environment by making the right choices. This is how we #RiseAgainstClimateChange as we #RiseForGood!

Warm Regards,
Tech Mahindra Foundation
