MOBILE SCIENCE LAB INAUGURATION

22nd November 2019

Dear Friends,

On the occasion of World Children’s Day (20th November 2019), we are delighted to share the launch of Mobile Science Lab at our In-service Teacher Training Institute (ITEI). The Mobile Science Lab will reach out to approx. 1800+ students across 17 primary schools of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation. The initiative aims at encouraging the students to inculcate an experiential learning environment and empowering educators to design creative ways to nurture the budding scientists. The bus has been developed by My Stem Lab and procured from the Mahindra Trucks and Buses Limited.

Amidst cheers from little kids of the neighbouring Primary school, the Mobile Science Lab was inaugurated by Ms. Anju Kamalkant, Mayor, Dr. Dilraj Kaur, Commissioner and Mr. Rajkumar Ballan, Education Committee Chairman of EDMC. More than 50 science teachers of Classes 3 to 5 have already been trained to conduct hundreds of carefully chosen experiments to help harness scientific knowledge and skills with hands-on activity. The Lab will facilitate environmental studies distribute STEM kits in MCD schools as it is equipped with various scientific instruments to simplify learning.
