Tech Mahindra Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of Tech Mahindra Limited, a Mahindra Group Company. The Foundation set up in 2007, as a Section 25 Company (referred to as a Section 8 Company in the Companies Act, 2013), has been working tirelessly in the areas of education, employability and disability, with a keen focus on corporate volunteering. It operates across twelve locations in India.
Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare
14 May, 2016 was a historic day for Tech Mahindra Foundation with the inauguration of Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare in the presence of Vineet Nayyar, Vice Chairman; Loveleen Kacker, CEO and other dignitaries.The Academy has been set-up in collaboration with the Harijan Sewak Sangh-a social development organisation, founded by, Mahatma Gandhi in 1932.
The Academy marks a significant milestone in the journey of expanding its employability programme. It will create employment opportunities for young men and women from low-income families in hospitals and nursing centres across the country. In full capacity the Academy will train 2000 young boys and girls.
