Dear Friends,

On the 18th of November 2016, SMART Mumbai inaugurated its9th Center at Dharavi Mumbai with Nursing as a Trade for women in the slums. Dharavi as a Location has been very important for us as there have been many NGO’s working but have been struggling to set a mark in terms of Training and Placement. As per the figures, a maximum number of unemployed youth exist in what is considered to be one of the biggest slums in Asia.

Mr. Sushil Singh, VP –CSR, Mahindra Group was our main Chief Guest for the afternoon and he was full of words of encouragement to the women and Tech Mahindra Foundation Team. Mr. Sushil Singh wished the Team the best for all the centers and was all praise for Tech Mahindra Foundation’s projects pan India. We hope that through this Centre, Nursing as a Trade coupled with Computers and English will not only help get women jobs but will also make them a better individual.
