Shreedevi hails from Averalli village, Nelmangla near Bengaluru. She has a Locomotor Disability but has always been brave and wanted to learn new things. She wanted to work in Bangalore city and be a role model to other girls in her village. After finishing her schooling, she wanted to work in Bangalore city but lacked English speaking and computer skills. She was introduced to the TMF SMART+ program through The Association of People with Disabilities (APD). After learning about various courses on offer, she chose to get trained in the BPO course, an intensive 8-week course to enhance her communication, computer, customer service, and life skills.
During the training period, she was curious to learn. After completing her training, She started working as a Tele caller at a leading organization in Bangalore. Today, she is pleased with her job and loves the fact that she is an independent woman. She is now also able to support her family. But the thing which makes her happiest is to be able to work in her dream city Bengaluru. In her own words, she says “I am thankful to Tech Mahindra Foundation for helping me get a job in my dream city, I love living an independent life in Bengaluru”
