OPD Coordinator at Fortis Hospital, Mohali

Shinu is a very curious girl who would ask questions out of the box and is very interested in studying. She is a sensitive girl with a passion for caring for people and contributing to a social cause. She wanted a career where she could add to her passion and yet stay independent.

Her dreams witnessed a low as she came from a humble family and could not complete her studies after grade 8th. Her confidence was low due to her academics.

Shinu came to know about the SMART Academy in Healthcare in Mohali through a mobiliser and how it supported girls to become independent. With wholehearted support from her family and siblings, she enrolled in the four-month course of General Duty Assistant (GDA). With her hard work, persistence and support from the faculty and placement team, she is currently working with Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Shinu has gained her confidence and hope back to fulfill her and her family’s aspirations.

Shinu aspires to complete her education and support the education of her siblings for a better future. Her family is happy and encourages her to fulfill her dreams.
