Prabakaran is a SMART-T alumnus of our first Four Wheeler Automobile Technician cum Driving Course from Batch of 2016 at SMART-Technical Centre in Chennai. His ambition has helped him make good career progression in a short period of time. The mentors at the SMART Centre identified his core strengths and motivated him to pursue his career in the technical field. Initially, he enrolled in the Electrical wiring training and additionally learned forklift operator training.

Soon after completion of his training, he got placed as an Assistant Forklift Operator at Wheels India and due to his hard work and consistent efforts, later he got promoted as Senior Forklift Operator. His determination has been appreciated by his supervisors and mentors. “I am committed to any challenge and ready for any hard work to make all that is possible in my life” – Prabakaran.

Prabakaran came from a financially unstable background. His mother, a homemaker and his father is a painter. They were struggling to make ends meet with his father’s single-handed irregular income until Prabakaran found a job. He happily shares that he has bought himself a motorbike, settled his family loans and organised his sister’s wedding with his income.“We were struggling to meet our needs. But now we are happy as a family and are financially stable due to my son’s hard work and dedication.”- Prabakaran’s mother.

It is interesting to know that Prabakaran is a Senior Forklift Operator by day and a DJ by night. Besides, he wants to help the less fortunate youth like him become employable and attain financial stability.
