Smart Spreading Happiness
“I want to improve the life my family leads, I do get scolded at work, but the next moment my seniors make me feel good. I am happy. I earn Rs.8000 and this has changed my life completely.”
Avilasha Burman
Trained at Tech Mahindra Foundation's Smart Centre
Avilasha is a resident of Bhawanipur, South Kolkata where she lives with her parents, younger brother and grandmother. A year ago she came to Reach India Trust SMART centre with a resolve to support her family.
Avilasha comes from a family of limited means and believes that it is her responsibility to give her parents some comforts. She was hard working, bright and was selected for tech Mahindra BSG vertical. There has been no looking back for her since then.
“I want to improve the life my family leads,” says a smiling Avilasha, and this means contributing to the family income. A daily commute of three hours has not deterred her fighting spirit and in the course of the last one year she has won accolades from the company. A random process audit by Reliance, Tech M’s client has also brought her recognition.
“I do get scolded at work, but the next moment my seniors make me feel good”, she adds. Asked if she wants to continue her present job, she says, “I am happy. I earn Rs.8000 and this has changed my life completely.”
She extends her gratitude not only to TMF but also to the SMART centre that gave her the confidence to find her place in life.
