Moving Ahead With Sustainability

ABMSP SMART Technical Centre

ABMSP SMART Technical Centre came up as the first SMART Technical Service Centre for repairing two-wheeler vehicles in Pune, Maharashtra. The service centre is one of its kind as the students get firsthand experience of repairing two-wheeler vehicles as well as an opportunity to earn their livelihood while they undergo training. The idea behind was to make the students self-reliant and build a self-sufficient system and a sustainable model of vocational training.

Soon after it was inaugurated in October 2019, the students were able to repair 24 two-wheeler vehicles in about twenty days. The Foundation had provided the centre with one-time support to establish the premises and arrange for the pieces of equipment initially. The service centre is a great design in terms of innovation and sustainability and is currently functioning independently without any financial support from the Foundation.
