Blessing In Disguise
“It helps us see what my child is doing every day in school. At the same time we learn and feel happy to see our child read and write.”
Mrs. Sushila
A proud parent of class 1 student whose school was rescued by the support from Tech Mahindra Foundation
The South Delhi Municipal corporation took a decision in January 2016 to shut down some schools in Hauz Khas due to low or no enrolment. When I AM A TEACHER and Tech Mahindra Foundation heard they came to the rescue of the primary schools to make sure students of the police officials (constables and Head constables) receive education.
I AM A TEACHER then took the responsibility of increasing enrolment from 5 to 80 children in the academic year 2016-17 with high quality education. Within 6 months the enrolment number was 68.
To make sure the learning does not remain inside school, the organisation is making efforts to engage the parents of students during each parent teacher meeting and SMC (school management committee) meetings, through various activities. The happenings in classroom are demonstrated through various activities involving both parents and teachers.
