Bringing Innovation to Classrooms
“Success is not pre-destined, it is hard-earned”
Surendra
A Teacher Supported at a Workshop of Shikshantaar Program
As a teacher at a Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) school, Surendra has always been driven to bring innovation into the classroom. Being the first member of his family to pursue a college education, Satyendra firmly believed in the potential of quality education.
In his MCD school, he aimed to introduce innovative teaching methods to keep his students engaged. The TMF played a significant role in his journey to make learning more engaging. Surendra became a part of TMF’s foundational course training and attended the 5-day Foundational Literacy course in English. The course introduced him to a diverse range of teaching approaches. More importantly, the sessions and interactions with others showed him the potential for growth in this teaching journey.
His classes have never been the same since! Surendra’s classroom has transformed into an interactive hub of creativity and enthusiasm. Students have become more participative and show a keen interest in the lessons. They have now found a mentor in Surendra who believes in their potential. Our goal is to support more educators like him to create more such ‘Happier and Safer Classrooms’.
