A Dream Come True

Life is an amazing kaleidoscope of dreams and reality. The dreams that one sees to realise one day by facing challenges of reality. The story of Radheshyam is all about making that dream come true with persistent zeal to learn and excel in life. Radheshyam has been living in Delhi for the past 3 years and making ends meet by selling ice-creams under a contractor. Being the sole earner of the family, he used to work day night and send money back to his home. But, working as an employee of a company and earning a dignified living was his dream, forever. 

Since ice-cream sales is a seasonal gig that goes low during the offseason and gives unstable income, he was looking for a stable job that will offer consistent earnings. In an effort to do so, he enrolled on the 4-months course of Customer Relationship and Sales at one of our SMART centres in association with Dr AV Baliga Memorial Trust in Delhi. 

Working as an ice-cream seller, he used to have very limited interactions with customers but during the course, he learned about many new aspects of handling customer, building relationships for better sales and the interview process for getting a job. In fact, he earned appreciation from his mentors at the SMART centre for being punctual, very hard working and eager to learn new things that added to his personality. 

Learnings from the course and his peers are a part of his life and have made him a confident individual. He appreciates his teachers and friends at the centre for aiding his new personality, and says, “We should be confident in whatever we do and always help each other to do better”, with a smile.With his hard work and new learnings, he got placed as Sales Associate at Excitel Broadband Private Limited, one of the leading broadband connection providers. 

He is truly living his dream today of being a respectable employee of an organisation and substantially supporting his family back home. Today, his parents are proud of him and truly value his new personality by giving credit to the SMART program by saying, “We are really thankful to Dr A. V. Baliga Memorial Trust and Tech Mahindra Foundation for offering such courses at minimum cost with job placement.”

We wish that like this, all his dreams to come true!
