Tech Mahindra School of Nursing

Banasthali Vidyapith and Tech Mahindra Foundation joined hands to establish “School of Nursing” with state of art facilities for promoting academic excellence in the field of nursing and to establish it in the promising sector of Nursing in India and abroad.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Gyan Mandir Auditorium of Banasthali Vidyapith on 10th August 2016 in the gracious presence of Prof. Chitra Purohit, President, Banasthali Vidyapith, Prof. Aditya Shastri, Vice-chancellor of the Banasthali Vidyapith and Ms. Ritu Baruah, Senior Consultant, Tech Mahindra Foundation. Earlier during the day the ceremonies of Bhoomipoojan and laying of the foundation stone of the School were held with traditional rituals amidst chanting of the Vedic mantras.
The Tech Mahindra Foundation has decided to donate a generous amount to the University to fully fund construction of the “School of Nursing” building. Once established the School would offer programmes in Nursing and conduct research in relevant areas. This School would be named as ‘Tech Mahindra School of Nursing’ which will strive to evolve best practices as per the wishes of Tech Mahindra Foundation.
Speaking on this remarkable occasion, Prof. Aditya Shastri conveyed his gratitude to Tech Mahindra Foundation for the generous donation and mentioned that Banasthali has been nurturing social consciousness amongst students towards national service and that the “School of Nursing” would mark Banasthali’s entry into health sciences. Ms. Ritu Baruah expressed her delight with joining hands with Banasthali Vidyapith and appreciated the noble mission of the university.
The MoU signing programme was attended by hundreds of audience members comprising students, senior faculty members, doctors, nursing and paramedical staff members of the Apaji Arogya Mandir.
